Cool Cars 4 Kids is a family friendly event that will provide a memorable experience for seriously ill or injured children and their families, who are clients of Ronald McDonald House South Central Ontario (RMH) and McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH).
There will be two components to Cool Cars 4 Kids. The Cool Car Rally which is to provide a 20-minute ride through Dundas for the patients and families (Guests) in some cool exotic and collectable cars, including Police and Fire vehicles. The second component is a full-blown car show. Our intent is to provide an exciting event for these families and a bit of a distraction from the circumstances that they are going through.
Once we found out that fundraising was an issue for RMH and MCH, Cool Cars 4 Kids evolved to include a car show. Cool cars, including McMaster’s solar, battery operated and Baha rally vehicles, along with Exotic, Collectors Cars, Antique Fire Trucks and Police vehicles will be on display. Food (provided by the Lions and Optimists), the Hamilton Thrill Harmonic Orchestra band, and other activities will round out the event. Spectator parking is available in the lower parking lots at McMaster. We will even have a special visit from the Hamilton Police Service Mounted Unit.
